Haven't forgotten about the blog, just been too busy!

Well, I haven't forgotten about you, It's just been very busy, with appointment, after appointment, after appointment, going this place and that, doing this and that, and then I got put in the hospital for seizures again in March. Three hospitalizations this year. It's been extremely busy. The year of 2024 has been very busy, and exhausting. I just don't have the motivation to post all the time. Here I am starting a blog, and then I hardly post in it anymore.    Who wants to talk about a hospital stay where a nurse simply ignored me when I had continuous seizures? Who wants to post about the hospital stay where my blood pressure tanked in the ambulance, and they had to fly me by hellicopter to the University of Kentucky on a high amount of Propofol? Who wants to post about deteriorating health? Especially then I'm not getting doodley squat as far as views. I'm wasting my time. Well I'll do it anyways sometime soon! I'll do it. But I'm not doing it to

News to come tomorrow! Hospitalization, and Recovery!

Well, a couple of weeks ago, I was put in the hospital for seizures. I ended up sedated on Propofol, and waking up confused, and pulling out tubes. That's a long story which you will hear about tomorrow. In other words, I'm recovering well from the hospitalization, I'm on seizure medications now, and I seriously hope I never have anymore seizures. That hospitalization was MISERABLE!! Waking up and finding out that I was seizing so badly that I had to be sedated was a nightmare. That's a period in my life I wish I could delete from existance, because it was so horrible, but I can't delete it from existance.     Tomorrow, be prepared for a long post, because you're going to get one. I'm just preparing you for the post tomorrow, because that's about all I feel like doing today.

tRILOGY GOES BYE BYE TODAY!

wELL, bECKY MY rESPIRATORY tHERAPIST IS SUPPOSE TO BE COMING TODAY TO DELIVER MY NEW vocsn VENTILATOR, AND TO TAKE THE tRILOGY evo WITH HER!!! i'M EXCITED ABOUT THAT. i DO HOPE THAT ONE DAY SHE CAN GET ME ANOTHER tRILOGY WITH THE CORRECT HEATED CIRCUITS, AND GET ME A CART FOR THE VENTILATOR, AND A CIRCUIT SUPPORT ARM, SO THAT i CAN DITCH THE ltv, AND HAVE icu GRADE VENTILATOR VIA A VENTILATOR THAT CAN MAKE IT'S OWN OXYGEN SUPPLY. i love THE vocsn VENTILATOR. i'VE ALWAYS LIKED THE ltv VENTILATOR, HOWEVER, THE vocsn IS HIGHER GRADE, AND PLUS IF i'M EVER IN icu, THERE IS A 50 psi hIGH pRESSURE o2 CONNECTOR ON THAT VENTILATOR, AND i COULD CONNECT IT TO THAT, AND THEN i COULD SET A percentage OF o2 i WANTED TO RECEIVE, INSTEAD OF HAVING TO SET IT IN Liters Per Minute. That'd be nice if I ever had to end up staying overnight in ICU. The VOCSN ventilator is a really really good ventilator, and I like it a whole lot better than the Trilogy. Of course I HATE the Trilogy

Not much new happening!

Well, it's been several days since I poted in the blog, and I figured that I should go a head and post. There's been really nothing new that's happened lately. We've had a big snow storm, and have a few inches of snow on the ground. If you know me, I HATE SNOW! What normal person likes snow? I don't! I wasn't able to go to Physical Therapy because of the snow, and my Respiratory Therapist wasn't able to bring a replacement VOCSN Ventilator, from where mine stopped working. So I have a piece of garbage Trilogy EVO ventilator! The Trilogy EVO ventilator is truly a horrible low grade ventilator, and It's really meant for a patient who's on BIPAP, or some other form of Non-Invasive Ventilation. I don't know why these companies make ventilators with passive leaks, and then claim that they can be used for trach patients as well as the Non-Invasive Ventilator patients. They shouldn't be using this type of ventilation for a trach patient. EVER!!!

A Night at the bar!

So, next door to me, there's a campground, where people camp in the summer. It's down right PACKED when it's nice and warm outside. They have stuff like an arcade, and a store, and they also have a BAR! People can come, get a little buzz, and just hang out. They can just ENJOY THEMSELVES!!! Well, I go over to the campground, and hang out quite a bit at times, and one of my favorite things to do is to hang out at the bar. Not to get a buzz. If I drink anything there it's Hot Chocolate, or Coffee! But I hang out, chat with the people, and just do what normal humans do. That's what I did tonight. My assistant Joshua helped me clean out my dresser drawers, and then we headed over to the bar so that he could play pool, and I could go into the bar and enjoy myself! Tonight was a special night! A VERY special night! Why? Well, there's this gentleman who hangs out at the campground, and he's a retired police officer. He now works at Taylor County, and he is a HO

My new Masimo RAD 97 Pulse Oximeter!

Well! I have my new Pulse Oximeter, and it's the Masimo Rad 97 Pulse Oximeter! This thing is AWESOME!!! So, you know how I was talking about the pulse oximeter I was on years ago, that had white numbers on the blue brightly lit LCD Display? Well, this oximeter that I got today reminds me of that exact oximeter, only this one is more advanced! This Oximeter is a really good one! The Masimo RAD 97 Oximeter has a very easy to read touchscreen display. It has audio and visual alarms. It has the ability to adjust the display to whatever position I put the monitor in. What I mean, is if I lie the monitor down in the horizontal position, it WILL position the numbers and waveform so that i can see them in that manner! NOW, If I turn the monitor into a vertical position, It's going to to reposition the siaplay to where I can see it while it's in an upright position. This is really good, because if I am in an area where I don't have a lot of rom to put it in a horizontal posi

Great news! MASIMO RAD 97 Oximeter!

Well, as I have stated in the past, I currently am using a small MASIMO RAD G Oximeter! As I've stated, I don't really like this oximeter, as the numbers, and the whole display is just too small for me to read. I have been trying to get a Nellcor Pulse Oximeter, because Nellcor is just a good brand, when It comes to oximeters!  Well, today, when I asked for an update on the Nellcor Oximeter, if she had ordered one she had told me no, but then stated that she has a RAD 97 that had come in last week. IMMEDIATELY, I recognized that monitor as a very very good monitor, and told her  I DEFINITELY wanted that!     I read the Manual to learn the operation of the RAD 97 Pulse Oximeter, and GOOD GRIEF THIS THING IS LOADED!!!  After studying the machine, the decision is, once I get the machine tomorrow, I will not be seeking a Nellcor Oximeter!!! WHY??     Well, let's go back to 2007, when I was having one of my many operations up in Lexington Hospital! Both in Pre-Op, and PACU,
