America's healthcare System sucks!

 You know, It's early in the morning, and I feel better when I wake up really early. I feel like going on a little rant this morning. That's what this blog will have a lot of at times. RANTING!!!! I do have to warn you just so you are aware, that there will be no foul language. I curse sometimes. My family can tell you that. But I don't bring it to social media, and I try not to bring it public. I do it at my house, because when you are in public, and around a lot of people, I don't believe it's right to make them have to listen to your foul mouth!

  Anyhow, AMERICA'S HEALTHCARE SYSTEM SUCKS!!! IT SUCKS BIG TIME!!!! You know yesterday, when I was talking to my Respiratory Therapist about how pathetic it is that you actually have to HAVE an existing Pressure ulcer to get a medical grade air mattress, and she said, "Medical insurance doesn't like to pay for preventative care." It really hit me how messed up America's healthcare system is. Instead of preventing something, they want to make you wait until it's there, and they want you to wait until there's a problem, before they will actually cover something. You actually have to develop the bedsore to get the medical grade alternating pressure mattress. And by then, those wounds can become a real mess. What happens when there's an open pressure ulcer, and they have to perform skin grafts, and you spend months or even years trying to recover from that ulcer? And what if you don't recover? What if you end up with an infection that goes to your bloodstream, and kills? THAT IS A PROBLEM!!! But unless you have a pressure ulcer, you will not get coverage for the air mattress. Because they want to wait until problems start happening to you! It does not matter if you have many co-morbidities. You may be tube fed, on a ventilator, have neurological conditions, and have easy skin breakdown. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PRESSURE ULCER, YOU WILL NOT GET THE AIR MATTRESS, Because insurance doesn't want to pay for it!

   This is America's healthcare system for you people. I like America. We're free to pray, and do many things in this country, and people in other people who are in other countries talk about how they wish that they lived in America! Yet they don't realize that America has VERY SERIOUS problems too! There are many flaws in the country that need to be fixed, and haven't been, and aren't getting fixed anytime soon! 

   It use to be that women couldn't get a Mammogram routinely, unless there was something wrong, unless they would pay for it themselves. This increased the risk of undetected breast cancer. THANK GOODNESS they allow women to get these exams preventatively now. Medical insurance covers these exams. 

   In another post, I'll go on about what really really gets me!!!!! The medications, and devices they restrict to patients who have Cystic Fibrosis! Now that is going to be a LONG RANT! Because it's effected me. But for now, I'll cut this blog post short! To those who view my blog in the future, Thank you for reading these posts.
